World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points, and then add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the Kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like perfect made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while others like weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. This bonus can sometimes be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons also change the stats of their base. While this is generally a good thing but it can also have negative effects as well. In the case of items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance), upgrading them may make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. For instance, if you have chests or helms it will boost its defense base while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it could reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will get when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon receiving 33% attack damage. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will be hit 3 times less often as it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circling arrows in the item menu. This will reroll an item and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you can get from each point. So, item upgrading to upgrade your armor.
To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the initial armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor for physical power or the power of spells. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also gain benefits to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed, give the user a temporary status effect. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them using a craft table or in the Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity and Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll offer when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For example the splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display of the item). The table of potion constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. upgrade item to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be mixed in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will drain the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
In addition, there are simmering potions made using splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket could be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not important such as a Thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items which can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by a player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the old one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value with time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for instance, a ring or cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade, players should take into account the preferred statistics of their class. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value and the new trinket will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than buying the new one.
