The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced Valorstones, and Harbinger Crests as two currencies to upgrade gear. These currencies can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to the highest level for a particular slot once. Upgrades to that slot are then cheaper following. The pity system, which was introduced with The War Within, also reduces the extreme variance of upgrades.
Upgrades
In gaming upgrades are the replacements of components that improve performance or add new features. They can be bought or earned in various ways, including through in-game events and from cash shop items.
Upgrades are only available for specific items. As opposed to enchantments, which can be applied to any item, upgrades can only be applied to the item they are connected to. A weapon that is already equipped will not have an upgrade applied. However, some items can be upgraded many times, providing a much better benefit to the user of the item.
The mechanic of upgrades is relatively new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players combine additional improvements to equipment to boost its power, ranging from simple strength boosts to significant damage and defense increases. The upgrades are separated into tracks, and each has limitations on the amount of upgrades that can be performed. These limits are intended to prevent players from scavenging low-keystone dungeons while upgrading their gear to the highest level.
The gear that can be upgraded includes weapons, armor, and consumables. Most gear can be upgraded as it is dropped, though some items (such as Ornn's gear, or the infant Dracolich pet) aren't upgradeable. Equipment can be upgraded to higher levels by buying a recipe from an upgrade vendor, and joining it with an item in the appropriate upgrade slot. A player can see the number of upgrades a piece is equipped with by looking at its inventory icon or by searching for the item in the shop.
There are two major drawbacks to the upgrade system. The first is that it can be difficult to determine which items are upgradeable, as the upgrade vendors don't always show all of them. In addition, the upgrade textures are rendered above the item model, which could obscure enchantment glints and other details.
Upgrades can be costly. Each step up an item's upgrade level will cost a certain number of Valorstones and crests, based on the slot of the item and the level of the item. Weapons generally require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than gloves or bracers, for example. Cash shop items can to lower the cost.
Recycle
In the wake of an increasing awareness of how single-use items and wasteful habits contribute to environmental degradation many are changing their shopping practices. Many are opting for high-end items that will last longer or recycling their old gadgets as a workaround. Others are focusing on recycled products and focusing on the most recycled content in their purchases. This trend should help reduce the amount resources required to produce and extract new materials, and create a more sustainable environment.
Recycling is a vital aspect of this process and it's now much more accessible to consumers. Many items, including paper and furniture have a recycled component to them. These products are made of re-used or discarded materials. You can buy them on the internet or in a store. These products aren't just more sustainable and cost less, but they're also more affordable than their counterparts.
When an item is leveled up it can be given additional bonuses along with its improved stat. These bonuses are determined by its tier, and they vary from one kind of bonus to another. The higher the tier, the more bonuses you will receive.
As the global economy shifts from resource extraction to reusing and recycling, more companies are committing to create products that are more sustainable. Many are focusing their efforts on recycling materials and providing incentives to customers who recycle their products. As the demand for sustainable products grows we can expect to see more recycled products in stores and on the shelves.
Rerolls
In Genshin Impact - or any gacha game, for that matter Rerolling is a crucial tool. Rerolling allows players to play again with a weapon or character they wish to play, either because it is attractive or they think it's a great match for their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items available for the current wave in exchange for a tiny amount of material. The cost of these weapons increase as the number of rerolls grows, but some items may never be available (for instance, characters who only use ranged weaponry won't see the melee weapon).
As an item increases in stats it enters the Staple Pool where it gains additional bonuses. They are based on the type of item that it is - for example an upgrade that increases a weapon's main stat will also increase its additional stats. If the item is rerolled, then the extras will change.
If a player has stamina for a reroll, they can click on an icon with arrows that are circling to swap their item out to another. The new item will be of the same level, but with it will come with a different set of bonuses, based on if the original item was a gun, sword or a watch.

Rerolling doesn't reset an item's current bonus levels, but the player will be required to meet minimum requirements for stats to qualify for the special ability. This can make it difficult to get an item of high-level that offers the amount of bonus they want, but it does allow players to explore a different option in the future without having to spend more money.
Leveling up an item doesn't just increase the value of its bonuses, it can also give the item a boost in its tier and, consequently, it will be guaranteed to gain a certain amount of bonus stats if upgraded in the future. This is a big reason why it's important to only upgrade your gear as high as you can, since once you hit the tier that upgrades will not make a huge difference, it's useless.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share a similar property. They are often used in mathematics and can be represented by . Sets possess many properties, including the commutative and associative properties. These properties are essential for understanding how sets work and can be used in real-world applications.
In the game the items can be upgraded in sets to unlock additional bonuses. A set of armor pieces can boost the protection of the armour, while a weapon can offer additional damage base. These additional stats are added after the base stats of the item, and prior to the percentages and flats. These additional stats can be an excellent way to increase value.
When upgrading item upgrade will replace the base stat with the upgraded one. For example an item with 20 base damage would now have 40 base damage. It will also preserve the previous base armor value and upgrade requirements. This is a great way to get an elite item at an affordable price.
Upgrades of exclusive items can be very profitable, particularly if they have an interesting mod. For instance, a rare belt with a +5 IAS could have a huge impact on the quality of a build especially in early hell. It's also a great option to increase the value of an item by injecting a high or perfect roll.
Item Upgraders differ for unique, set and rare items. Usually, the item will be upgraded to its new base type after it has been upgraded to level 10. For instance an upgrade of an item that has a max defense roll will result in an elite armored item that has the same base type. This isn't a guarantee, and in some instances, an upgrade will not change the type of item.
It is recommended to upgrade your BiS (Best in Slot) before moving to non-BiS items. This will ensure that the player has an established base to build upon when leveling up, and can focus on increasing their tiers as well as getting additional stats.
